Examination Procedure

The school is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and has English as the medium of instruction. The school strives to maintain excellence in academics, so that in today's competitive world the students may be able to proceed to institutions of higher learning of their choice. The students of the school, therefore, have been achieving very good results at both Primary and Secondary level exams conducted by the State Board, as a result of the efforts put in by the highly dedicated faculty of the school.

The State Board has implemented the scheme of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for all students till class X. CCE primarily aims at bringing a paradigm shift from examination centered learning to holistic education. The scheme envisages that every learner is to be evaluated for what he/she does throughout the year, according to his or her own abilities and intelligence, rather than in a one-shot three hour external examination at the end of the academic session.

It is our belief that evaluation should act as a positive input for improving the teaching learning process and not as a deterrent. The report card of evaluation should reflect not only the scholastic aspects of the learner, but also life skills acquisition, personality attributes, behaviour, interests, attitudes, values and proficiency in indoor as well as outdoor co-curricular activities. It should facilitate in unravelling talent and reflect the true picture of the growth and profile of a young learner.

Examination Specifications

Each academic session begins in the month of June. The curriculum is divided in two terms. There are two unit tests and a term exam in each the term. Four rounds of Unit Tests are conducted through the year in August, September, January and February.

The first round of term exam is completed in by the month of October. The Annual Examinations are conducted at the end of the session between March and April. The weightage, in the Annual Report, of the tests and examinations conducted during the year, is as follows:

Half Yearly Examination – 50%   Annual Eamination – 50%

The final report card shows grades.
